PTX is AutoSonix's signal convergence index a standardised intake baseline that tells you whether independent mechanical signals agree or conflict, instantly, for every vehicle.
PTX™ SCORE BANDS
Plain Language. Every Time
"Everything makes sense for this vehicle"
✓All signals align — No elevated risk
"Normal Wear — Nothing Unusual"
✓Most signals align — Minor deviations
"Something is a little off — closer look..."
⚠Some signals conflicting or incomplete
"Multiple things don't line up"
✗Mechanical evaluation strongly advised
WHAT IS PTX™
A Standardised Signal for Every Trade-In
PTX™ stands for Powertrain Signal Index. It is a single, objective score that reflects how closely observed powertrain behaviour aligns with expected operating patterns at the point of intake.
Rather than relying on one data source, PTX combines two independent signals OBD data and AutoSonix acoustic AI and measures whether they align or conflict. The result is a band, not a verdict. A starting point, not a final answer.
This gives every team member — regardless of technical background — a consistent, repeatable baseline to support faster, smarter decisions.
THE TWO SIGNALS PTX™ MEASURES
Where the Score Comes From
No single signal determines PTX™ . OBD has existed for decades. AutoSonix's acoustic signal is new. Together they create something neither can produce alone.
OBD Signal
Decades Old
On-board diagnostics — fault codes, sensor data, system status
Sound Signal
Autosonix
Structured mechanical sound — engine acoustics converted into repeatable data.
